More Than I Could Have Hoped For

Chapter 35: Margaret’s POV

“took you long enough” Harry grunted, starting the car.

“oh calm your balls I’m here now.” I stated. He chuckled. I turned the radio on in the car and my current favorite song came on. I blasted to the point where the car was shaking and sang along. 

  “I DON’T KNOWWWWOH WHERE YOUR GOING OR WHEN YOUR COMING HOMEEEOHH!” Harry began to laugh hysterical and lowered the volume to a human level. I giggled.

  “How was last night’s concert” I asked him.

  “Amazing, I swear the girls get louder every time. I wish you had been there though.” he said, glancing away from the road to smile at me. I blushed.

   ”I went to the first two, and I already told you I don’t think I can handle you guys dedicating a song to me every night.” I said, it was true , the dedications were sweet but kind of emotionally overwhelming for you.

  “ok your right then, don’t come.” he smiled cheekily. “because we love singing to you and it makes you smile like you used to. I love it when you smile.” I turned to face him and made a frightening face exposing all my teeth like a demented smile. Harry groaned at my childishness and shove his hand in my face making it race the road again. I laughed and he. Changed the subject.

  “how was  dance babe?” He questioned and I groaned. 

  “It was good BABE.” I stressed the word babe because he knew how much I hate it when he called me that. He laughed loudly. “I’ve finally finished routine five!” I said happily. He pulled a confused face. 

  “what happened to routine 4?” he asked.

  “oh my god stop being such a grandpa! I told you I finished routine 4 daayyss ago!” I laughed.

   ”Ok Ok” he sighed.

   Harry began to sing along and I rolled my eyes, annoyed.

I made it obvious that I want you too

So put it on me

   I groaned.

Lets remove the space between me and you

   I reached off and smashed my hand down on the power button to the radio and then the only sound in the car was Harry’s laugh.

  “Problem, babe?”

  “Its Enrique he seems so cocky in this song and it pisses me off. ‘I know you want me’” I scoffed. “He is literally SOOO 2005.” I stated. Harry stopped laughing and his face scrunched up and he was thinking about something. “What are you thinking about.” He wiped the look off his face and smiled.

  “I don’t know I guess I just had you tagged as an Iglesias fan thats all.” He chuckled.

  “Nahh Im more into the boy bands.” I sighed.

  “I bet you are.” The rest of the day flew by and Harry was in charge of picking out most of the clothes. We went to eat and got back to the house at 7:30, a half an hour untill Harry had to be on stage. 

  “Hurry! your going to be soo late for the show! Thank you so much Har! today has been so much fun, you really didnt have to” I said. Harry groaned.

  “Stop acting like your forcing us to hang out with you! you keep saying thank you to me and the boys and were not ‘helping you out’ were friend!” He tickled my nose and I swatted his hand away. “And I had a good time too, snookums” He said in a joking voice. I rolled my eyes and laughed.

  “Yeah, yeah. Bye Harry, good luck at your show tonight!” I walked into the house and saw Jane by the fire. “I’m home!”

  “Oh Margaret! How was your date?” She asked, clearly sleepy. I blushed.

  “Jane we were just hanging out!” 

  “Right, right. Well I do hope to see him again soon right?” She asked hopefully. I giggled.

  “Sure, sure. Goodnight Jane!”
  “Goodnight Margaret.” I went upstairs and turned on my mac, cracked open a thick packet and began writing a thesis that was due tomorrow. It was 4 and a half hours later, at 12 O’clock when I had written the last words to the assignment. I was not tired at all so I decided to surf the web. I logged on to my twitter and started scrolling my eyes spying some familiar names on the list of worldwide trends. 1D dedications, #some1specialfor1d, one direction concert. I clicked on the first one. The top tweet was from sugar scape with 435 RTs:

   I clicked on the link that sent me to an article on sugar scape’s website that had been posted only an hour ago. It read:
  

   The fab five have been breaking hearts more then usual this past week by performing a new cover dedicated to someone special at each of their london shows! But could they all be for one special Lady? Ever since ‘fix you’ made directioner hearts break across the globe our readers have been dying to know who could be at the receiving end of one direction’s loving covers? All we know for now is that tonight’s performance had us all in tears and eagerly awaiting the reveal. 

   Below the article was a high quality taping of the performance the boys had just made. I pressed play and watched the boys take their seats on the singing stools. 

  “You’re amazing!” Liam shouted.
  “We have to tell you haw amazing it feels to see the same faces coming round week after week to watch us perform, we love you all!” Niall announced.

  “This is the end of our show!” Harry said to boos.

  “We have one last song to sing tonight. Harry picked it and once again its really special,” Louis said and then paused and I felt like he was staring straight at me. “You know who you are.” The guitar played and Harry’s voice wove into it like silk.

Harry’s voice continued to mesh with the music.

Five voice collided to make a breathtaking noise that one could only describe as God.

Harry again? He never sang the whole song? Maybe its because it was his idea.

  The crowd went nuts and I had to rip the headset off my ears, the noise was too bad. I saw Louis talking and I put them back on. You couldn’t hear what he said over the girls but I could make out what Harry said though.

  “And that song guys, was by Enrique Iglesias!” He said and I laughed out loud, covering my mouth, he showed me. The boy blew kisses to the crowd and disappeared behind the curtain. I shut down my computer and put it aside. I fell asleep, smiling.
